Chapter One — 1.1 Background to the Study

In recent years, Adult Literacy Programs has emerged as a critical factor shaping employability of adult learners across organizations operating in and around Selected States in South-East Nigeria. As institutions grapple with the pressures of globalization, regulatory reform, and shifting stakeholder expectations, understanding how adult literacy programs relates to employability of adult learners has become an important area of both scholarly and practical concern.

Within the context of Selected States in South-East Nigeria, this relationship carries particular significance. 1.2 Statement of the Problem

The study is limited to an examination of Adult Literacy Programs and its relationship with employability of adult learners within the context of Selected States in South-East Nigeria.
