Chapter One — 1.1 Background to the Study

Dark Mode Interface Design has become one of the more actively explored innovations in the design of modern real estate management platforms, promising gains in efficiency and reliability that legacy, largely manual approaches have struggled to deliver.

Despite this potential, many existing real estate management platforms were not originally designed with dark mode interface design in mind, resulting in persistent gaps in perceived usability that limit their overall effectiveness. This study examines how Dark Mode Interface Design can be applied to help close that gap.

1.2 Statement of the Problem

Existing approaches to perceived usability within real estate management platforms remain largely reactive and fragmented, with little systematic use of dark mode interface design despite its demonstrated value elsewhere. This study addresses the resulting gap by designing and evaluating a solution built specifically around dark mode interface design.

As a study of this kind, its scope is confined to designing and evaluating a dark mode interface design-based solution for real estate management platforms, focused specifically on perceived usability; broader deployment considerations fall outside this scope.
