Development of a Robotic Process Automation-Powered Digital Identity Verification Systems for Improved Operational Cost Reduction
Abstract
This study investigates the subject matter outlined in the title above through a structured research design appropriate to its academic level. Using primary and/or secondary data collection methods, the research examines the underlying variables, tests relevant hypotheses, and presents findings with implications for practice and policy. This is placeholder abstract text generated for catalogue preview purposes; the full document contains a complete, topic-specific abstract, literature review, methodology, data analysis, and conclusion.
Chapter One — 1.1 Background to the Study
Robotic Process Automation has become one of the more actively explored innovations in the design of modern digital identity verification systems, promising gains in efficiency and reliability that legacy, largely manual approaches have struggled to deliver.
Despite this potential, many existing digital identity verification systems were not originally designed with robotic process automation in mind, resulting in persistent gaps in operational cost reduction that limit their overall effectiveness. This study examines how Robotic Process Automation can be applied to help close that gap.
1.2 Statement of the Problem
Existing approaches to operational cost reduction within digital identity verification systems remain largely reactive and fragmented, with little systematic use of robotic process automation despite its demonstrated value elsewhere. This study addresses the resulting gap by designing and evaluating a solution built specifically around robotic process automation.
1.3 Objectives of the Study
- To design and implement a robotic process automation-based approach to improving operational cost reduction in digital identity verification systems.
- To evaluate the effectiveness of Robotic Process Automation in enhancing operational cost reduction within digital identity verification systems.
- To identify the key requirements and constraints relevant to deploying robotic process automation in this context.
- To assess user and stakeholder perception of the resulting system.
1.4 Research Questions
- How can robotic process automation be applied to improve operational cost reduction in digital identity verification systems?
- How effective is Robotic Process Automation at enhancing operational cost reduction within digital identity verification systems?
- What requirements and constraints are relevant to deploying robotic process automation in this context?
- How do users and stakeholders perceive the resulting system?
1.5 Significance of the Study
Beyond its immediate technical contribution, this study offers value to organizations evaluating whether to invest in robotic process automation for their own digital identity verification systems, and contributes to the broader literature on applied software technology / IT by documenting a concrete implementation and evaluation case.
1.6 Scope of the Study
As a study of this kind, its scope is confined to designing and evaluating a robotic process automation-based solution for digital identity verification systems, focused specifically on operational cost reduction; broader deployment considerations fall outside this scope.
