Chapter One — 1.1 Background to the Study

Research interest in conservation practices has grown steadily in recent years, driven by its demonstrated relevance to selected game reserves in both laboratory and field settings.

Despite this interest, the precise relationship between conservation practices and biodiversity levels in selected game reserves remains incompletely characterized, particularly under conditions typical of Nigeria's research and production environment.
