Chapter One — 1.1 Background to the Study

In recent years, Women in Agriculture Programs has emerged as a critical factor shaping rural-urban migration of farm households across organizations operating in and around Osun State. As institutions grapple with the pressures of globalization, regulatory reform, and shifting stakeholder expectations, understanding how women in agriculture programs relates to rural-urban migration of farm households has become an important area of both scholarly and practical concern.
